A beautiful, historic city with many well maintained Civil War era buildings. There is a public mall with many businesses and plaques describing buildings and the role they played in the war. The dogwoods were in bloom, which made everything look beautiful.
We ate dinner at Violino Ristorante Italiano - 181 N Loudoun St. Authentic Italian food - it was fabulous! Pasta was homemade and delicious. It's small - so recommend a reservation.
Nice shops in the historic area too.

Old town in Winchester has a great variety of shops and restaurants.
We ate at a small sports tavern and the food was good, however they neglected to leave the mushrooms off my linguini and I am allergic to them. Fortunately I did not eat one before I found and picked them out.

When I entered the hotel ,there was a very hostile situation going on at the Reception area, eventually the police had to be called to remove the customer, who was obviously in the wrong . I felt unsafe and very uncomfortable. I went to my room and there was a large gap between the door jam and door, so I went out and picked up a safety door jam so I could at least try to get some sleep. The room had a dirty / cheap cover up smell and my bed sheets had a black stain on them. Due to work I didn't get in until 10:30 and was too tired to call housekeeping so I slept on the other side of the bed. The walls had chips of paint scratched off and the couch was filthy. I didn't even walk on bare feet on the carpet. The continental breakfast was barely existent.

Staying at that hotel ruined our whole trip, wouldn't ever stay there even if it was free, owed at least for the last night, plus in my booking the room with pets allowed was no mention of any extra charges for pet ,thought it was already in the price of the daily room with pets charge but when I checked in was informed that in addition to the daily room charge was extra $30 a day for our 2 cats = $120.also the hallways reaked of pet smells.
Rooms were spacious, and the decor was simple and nice. We stayed in a suite and enjoyed the extra couch area. Check-in/out was seamless and staff were friendly and helpful in trying to find a good room for us and our dog. The free cookie at check in was a nice touch. We appreciate that dogs are allowed and that the pet fee is a reasonable $25 per night. There is also a decent amount of grassy area for the dogs to do their business, as well as a pet-clean up station (not always the case at pet-friendly hotels).
It was nice clean hotel. Staff was extremely friendly, But did notice hotel staff were vaping/e-cig in the hotel. The hotel is set back from the road behind other businesses and it is difficult to navigate parking lot when you first arrive, don’t remember clear signage to guide through surrounding busy establishments. Had a nice outdoor area for sitting. Online pictures were accurately depicted room conditions and quality. Continental Breakfast was delicious. Coffee and tea available throughout the day.
Decor by IKEA, with all hard surfaces. Room cramped with king bed. Nice bathroom and great TV. Decent breakfast and workout room/pool. . Pet friendly. Everything is fine about this modern, functional hotel, especially if you don’t mind the decor which seems to be done by IKEA. Rooms are cramped with a king sized bed and one always seems to be bumping into things to get around. Good for an overnight stay but not for any extended stay.
The room was attractive, clean, and comfortable; the decor was fitting for this historic, early 20th century hotel. The location is perfect for exploring the historic areas of Winchester by foot; it's walking distance from many of the historic sites and from a number of good restaurants. There is a surface parking lot and parking deck adjacent to the rear of the building for hotel guests with accessible access to the building.
Wasn't know bf, and ask us to leave because my 5mos would cry really what was we to do tape her mouth shut, also had a 5yr old motels are for family's not individuals, ask us to leave and 2doors down a girl kicking the door because her boyfriend is in there with someone else, cussing and and fighting didn't make them leave must been friends never have seen anything like it making a family leave because of your children.
We were traveling back to our home state of Pennsylvania from our vacation in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and were tired. It was dark and rainy so I called booked an hour before arrival. Hotel was right off the Interstate, easy to find and we were very impressed with the cleanliness and the price for one night stay. Room was clean, beds were comfy and sleep came easily.
The manager of the property was extremely rude and ignorant. Plus we wanted a place to stay for 2-6 months. She made up that it was a rule that you can’t stay more than 14 days. I never heard of any hotel having such a rule in my life. No wonder almost every room in the place was empty, and still empty today.
This inn is exceptional value for the money, the indoor pool was very clean and accessible. The rooms were large and well appointed. The wifi was top notch and the on-site restaurant was a pleasant surprise. I definitely intend to visit this hotel again on my way south to Carolina and Florida
Breakfast was good, convenient. Typical for a hotel breakfast but makes the trip that much easier and adds value. Room was very nice. Room AC unit is typical and runs much of the night to maintain temperature. No problems however.
It’s like staying at The Ritz!! Its nice and quiet! The staff always go above and beyond. The hotel is beautiful. Walking distance to a bunch of restaurants. I always choose this hotel when I come to the Winchester area.
Reception staff were knowledgeable and very pleasant. Rooms were tastefully decorated. Bed was comfortable. Location was perfect for travellers looking for a place close to the highway.
I was pleasantly surprised, we been staying in Winchester and surrounding areas every week or two weeks, and decided to try travel lodge.. Already reserved a room for next weekend!
clean , modern, room very comfortable, extra large bed, good air con that wasn’t too noisy. Good Chinese restaurant within easy reach on foot. very good stay.
The breakfast was a hot breakfast with plenty of choices. It was better than most motels we’ve stayed at. Excelllent location with easy off on access to I81.
The hotel was very clean and welcoming upon entrance. Rooms were very clean, there is an on site mini store, hot breakfast and staff were very friendly.
